忘记要去做某事

forget doing sth

忘记以前曾经做过某事

例如

Sorry,I forgot to bring the book.(对不起，我忘了带书了。)

I forgot borrowing a book from you.（我忘记曾经向你借过书这件事）

forget to do sth是忘了干某事（还没干呢）；forget doing sth 是忘了干过的某事（干过，但是忘了）。
比方说，
I just forgot to fetch the file. 我忘了拿那份文件。（真的没有拿）
I just forgot fetching the file. 我忘了已经拿了那份文件了。（拿了，但是忘了曾经干过这件事）

forget to do是指忘了去做某事(还没有做)

forget doing something是指忘了做了某事(已经做了)

忘记做某事,事情没做忘了
forget doing sth
某事你做过了,但是你忘记你已经做过
