Some time与sometime 和sometimes的区别就比较多了。它不过是由形容词some和名词time构成的一个短语，有其固定的含义。它的含义人们通常认为只表示一个时间段即“若干时间”。它除了含有此意外，还具有和sometime相同意思的含义，即“某时、某日。”sometime一般表示时间点，而some time 即可以表示时间段（若干时间），也可以表示时间点（某时）。换句话说，若表示时间段，只能用some time; 若表示是间点是，sometime和some time可以互换使用，哪个都行。
如：
1. She stayed here for some time. 她在此呆过一段时间。
2. He went some time last week. 他上膨某日走的。
