seem与appear的区别是什么（我老是记不住）

it seems,,,,和 it appears that,,,,是常用句型,两者在意义上和用法上都一样..表示"好象是,,,,,"的意思, 用来表示不确定. seem 和appear 后面可以接to sb,表示"对某人来说好象是,,,,,".
appear 和 seem 都表示"看起来,,,,,", "好象,,,,,,"
前者强调表面上给人某种印象,含有实质上并非如此的意思,而seem则表示判断有一定的根据,较接近事实.
看两个例句:
It seemed that he hadn't received my parcel(他好象没有受到我的包裹)
it seemed that he failed to get my point(他好象没听懂我的意思)
It appears that we are going to have a bad weather tomorrow(我们明天好象要遇到坏天气)
it appears that most of our friends have known it
(好象我们的大多数朋友已经知道此事啦)
前两句是根据自己的判断而直接得出的结论.
后两句是凭现象而推测出来的结论.
注意二者细微的区别.
