that 引导的定语从句
当先行词既有人又有物时，必须由that引导定语从句

必须由that引导定语从句的情况：
①当先行词是不定代词all、few、little、much、something、nothing、anything、everything ……时，必须用that引导定语从句。
例：Please tell me everything that Tom told you . 请你告诉我汤姆告诉你的每一件事。
②先行词被序数词或形容词最高级修饰的时候，必须用that引导定语从句。
例：This is the biggest tree that I have seen . 这是我见过的最大的一棵树。
③先行词被all、few、little、any、every、no、some ……，修饰时，必须用that引导定语从句。
例：Yesterday I read all the books that you gave me . 昨天我读了你给我的所有的书。
④当先行词被the only（唯一的）、the last（最后的）、the same（相同的）、the very（正好，恰好）……修饰时，必须用that引导定语从句。
⑤当先行词即有人又有物时，必须用that引导定语从句。
例：I’m interested in things and persons that you’re talking about .我对你们正在谈论的那些人和事感兴趣。
⑥当句子中已经有who，为了避免重复，要用that。
例：Who is the girl that is singing ? 正在唱歌的那个女孩是谁？
⑦当that用做关系副词修饰表示时间的名词，可以用来代替when。
例：It happened on the day that / when I was born .事情发生在我出生的那一天。
