happen to 和take place ，take place 和take the place ，take the place和instead of 越详细越好
1.happen to 是只碰巧做某事，句式为‘sb happen to do sth'.
例：He happened to meet Tom this afternoon.
而take place=happen 意为发生，只是前者所表达的发生是指本人并没有亲眼看到，只是有所耳闻。
2.take place和take the place两者之间没有什么关联，只是一对形近词组。take the place是指取代、代替。
3.take the place=instead of都是指的取代、代替。而take the place 常用于句末，而后者常用于句中。
例：I'll teach you English instead of Mr Wang.
=Because Mr Wang is ill,I will take the place.
take the place：取代，通常指地位。
instead of：1、代替，通常指物品；2、不是，而是。
例如：Tom will go shopping with me instead of Jerry.
happen to do 专指发生在人身上的偶然事件,仁恰巧做某事
take place， 通常用something took place 某事恰巧发生。
