With the word of I made my home.
Yet din of horse and carriage there is none.

With thoughts remote the place appears alone.
While picking asters’ neat the eastern fence.
My gaze upon the southern mountain rests.
The mountain views are good by day or night.
The birds come flying homeward to their nests.
A truth in this reflection lies concealed.
But I forget how it may be revealed.

结庐在人境，而无车马喧。
问君何能尔，心远地自偏。
采菊东篱下，悠然见南山。
