in front表示某物体之外的前面。
in the front表示某物体之内的前部。如：
1.There are some tall trees in front of the classroom.（大树应当在教室之外的前面）
2.There is a teachers' desk in/at the front of the classroom.（讲桌应当在教室之内的前部）
我这样讲想必你易懂些。你可这样记：有“这个”时，就指这个之内。（“这个”＝the)
Drivers sit in the front of his car.车的前端/部分
He is standing in front of a car.车的前面(车外)
in front表示两物相离或外切
in the front表示两物内含或内切
（你可以想象成两个圆）
