没吧。coming可以做过去的将要来的意思。

俺不知道，俺才上高中，错了别找我！

We are ready for the coming picnic.

And I think to judge a sentence, you must read it in a context, right?

因为coming，所以不用were。。

好象，应该没有错！！！
