一、other
1.other是定语形容词，一般修饰复数名词。例如：

二、another
1.another+数词/few+复数名词

2.another 修饰单数可数名词
I don\'t like this hat, please show me another one.
3.another作代词，代替可数名词的单数，表示泛指，意思是二者以上中的另一个，不包括二者在内。

4.谈到至少有三个人或物时，要用another。
I have three brothers; one is twenty, one is fifteen and another is ten.
5.another的复数是some/any others或some/any more。
三、others
1.others和some相对应。
Young people may grow quickly in some ways and more slowly in (C).(上海市\'93).

2.others 是代词，代替复数名词，表泛指，意思是其他的一些人或物。
Others may laugh at her but I like her.
四、the other
1.the other是定语形容词，修饰两个中的另一个。
She got two horses, one for the princess and the other one for the servant.
2.the other是定语形容词，修饰复数名词，表示特指，意思是其他所有的。
There are ten books on the shelf. Three are English books, the other books are Chinese books.
3.the other是代词，代替两个中的另一个

五、the others
the others是代词，不可作定语，特指其他的两个或更多的人或物
There are ten books on the shelf. Three are English books,the others are Chinese books.

1、We cannot agree with you, but other people may. other用于不确定的“其他”
2、I have two apples. I will eat one , and give the other to you . the other用于两个确定事物中的另一个
3、others 类似other，把1中的other people 换做others，句子也符合语法。
4、the others表示确定的多个事物中的“其他”
5、another表示不确定的“另一个”，如Mike survived but if it is another person, the miracle might not occur.
