indexicality是indexical的名词． indexicality指的是可以按照情况的不同而意思不同的词语的那种属性．now, I, here, you都是indexical

举个例子：
BOB ask: who can do this question?
TOM answer: you can do this question.
BOB say: no, you should say "I can do this question", but you said "you can do this question" instead, which means that I can do this question, not you.

这里TOM的回答是”你可以做这个题”但是对于
BOB来说， TOM的意思是”我可以做这个题”，这里的you就体现出了2个不同的意思，therefore, the "you" there is indexical.

The sociologist Harold Garfinkel uses the concept of indexicality as one of the key assumptions of his school of ethnomethodology. He assumes, in other words, that in social life all behaviour and discourse is theoretically indexical. It is the sociologist's job to provide the context such that the action or speech can be understood.
