【3】across和cross』

across ; cross

My house is across the harbour,in the vicinity of the Kowloon Park.

They live across the Central Plaza.

The accident took place at a crossroads.

They drive across the plain by way of a crossroad leading to the highway.

In this book cross-references are shown in capital letters.

The Star Ferry Pier is a ferry crossing in central.

All care should stop at the zebra crossing.

A bus ran into a train at the level/grade crossing.

across 和 through:
The lake was frozen, so we walked across the ice.
It took us 2 hours to walk through the forest/tunnel.
I ran across the square to the cafe.
I pushed through the crowds to the bar.
She swam across the English Channel/the river.
I wandered through the town/village.
On our way we had to go through Hudson street.
