定语从句 的先行词在从句中充当成分,同谓语从句的先行词在从句中不充当成分.这是最容易的区分方法.
eg: I was told the news that was published in the newspaper.(这里定语从句的先行词that在从句中做主语)
I was told the news that the president had been murdered.(这里同谓语从句的先行词that在从句中不充当成分,只是引导从句.)
同时同谓语从句的先行词只有that而且不可以省略,定语从句的先行词有多种形式,如that which where whose how..等等)

同位语从句和定语从句的区别

同位语从句用于名词后面，对该名词的内容作进一步说明，连接词在从句中不作成份。

定语从句用于修饰名词或代词，引导定语从句的关系代词或关系副词往往在定语从句中作一个成份。
