THE popularity of the western festivals in China
A：In recent years, western holidays are welcomed by most of the Chinese people. I think this kind of popularity has many advantages. First, through celebrates the western holiday, we may better promote the western culture exchange. We can also learn some western cultures. For example on Thanksgiving, people celebrate the harvest by preparing a large meal. And this helps us to know westerners better.
D：I think the popularity of the western festivals in China isn't suitable. Western and Eastern has different culture, and different culture created one’s own festival. They came together and know each other really and closely only in modern times. Now, more and more Chinese young people talk about western and accept their festivals, this may say possibly they will forget where they are and what nationalities they are.
A: But we can know each other’s culture. By this, we can have complement on thoughts and technology. And also these holidays bring the economic efficiency is very considerable. For example: Traveling, dining, entertainment and so on.
D: We cannot just think about the profit on the economy. The crisis on culture is more serious. Especially now, under the storm of civilization, the one save its culture more safely is the one stronger. Korean registered dragon boat festival—one of our traditional festivals— as their bequest of culture! As we all know, Chinese is a developing country. Its economical stength is still weak, but we have rich capital of culture inherited from our long history and magnificent national spirit.
So how to prevent our culture and festival from the impact of western culture is a serious problem for all of us today.
A：The popularity of the western festivals in China does not mean we forget our own festival and culture. We enjoy these holidays just means that we want to try a new life style. These holidays let the people have more opportunities to improve the relationship. On Halloween, we will have some costume parties. Through celebrate the holidays we can relax ourselves too. We enjoys in them just like we enjoy the traditional festival. It gives us more fun in our daily life, so it’s better.

2 经济增长方面，更好说了，就说说这些时候一般人民的消费都会增长，促进了中国的消费,然后说大一点就是GDP.
