The dominant role of English as an international language is confirmed by the procession of globalization. Therefore, English is inevitably widespread throughout China. Changsha, as the capital city of Hunan province, is a traveling city full of places of interest, especially of historical interest with a long history and splendid Chinese culture. In order to adapt globalization and provide better service for foreigners, many English advertisements and signboards translated from Chinese appear here and there in Changsha, but among these English advertisements and signboards, there are too many mistakes in them. This paper takes Changsha as an example, analyzing the English translation mistakes of Chinese advertisements and signboards, and classifying them into two categories. It finally points out the negative influence on culture communication and economic exchange.
