OWB: Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please? Are you excited to hold the English party? It’s a great pleasure for us to hold the party. I’m the host OWB.
CBB: I’m the hostess Bb.
OWB: Next week National Day is coming, it is a red-letter day for all Chinese. We will have a good time then. It’s so pleasant for every student.
CBB: OK. Now let’s begin the party. There are 3 sections in this party. You can see what they are in a short time. I’m sure you will enjoy them.
OWB: Now let’s introduce guests for you. This is ------ This is ------
Let us welcome them to our party.
CBB: Thanks for your coming. Let’s begin the first section “Guessing in English”. We have some rules. For example, now we have 4 teams (Team 1, Team 2, Team 3 and Team 4) to answer the questions. If you give the right answers in English, you’ll get 20 marks and a present for each.
OWB: But if you answer them in Chinese, you’ll get 0. However, everybody only has a chance. When you answer them, you must stand up. Do you understand?
CBB: Now let’s begin. Question 1--------
OWB/CBB: Congratulations to Team (1/2/3/4). Never mind. The other 3 teams still have chance to win.
OWB: So much, thank you! Section 2 try to read tongue twist one by one after listening to the tape.
CBB: When one person finishes it you can get 10 marks for your team. But if you make a mistake, you will lose 2 marks.
OWB: If you can’t read clearly, you’ll get fewer marks. However, you only have 2 min for each team.
CBB: Let’s begin. You can read as quickly as you can.
OWB: Just now. We have known which team is really best, but what about boys and girls? Who are better? (To the students)
CBB: Now let’s see. Let’s appreciate an inter view by XYK and LSH. XYK is going to act Yao Ming while LSH is to act a reporter. A big hand for them.
OWB: So wonderful! What about girls?
CBB: Girls are going to act out the story of Jane after she left Gateshead. I think it will be very interesting. Welcome!
OWB: Now let me ask again. Boys or girls are better?
CBB: OK. Listen to the guest carefully to see who are better. A big hand for the guest.
