no. just prononce the way you think it should be until one day you realize that you were wrong.
Also consider where is the place. Like in USA, there is a lot of places that use Spanish name, then you should try to prononce it the Spanish way.
For example: San Jose==You cannot say: San Jiu Xi;
You should say: San Ho Say. Because it is in California, it belonged to Mexico before.
