Main Board
The IntelliBrain main board provides a powerful robot controller with features that will allow you to build an intelligent robot. The main board provides ports for connecting up to 23 sensors and effectors, including hobby servos, the CMUcam,an assortment of I2C devices, analog sensors, digital sensors, shaft encoders,infrared remote controls, and more.
CPU and Memory
An Atmel ATmega128 microcontroller operating at 14.7 MHz is the central component of the IntelliBrain main board. In addition to the microcontroller, the main board has 128K bytes of external RAM.
Flash Memory
The ATmega128 includes 128K bytes of on chip flash memory. IntelliBrain and RoboJDE use this memory for the IntelliBrain bootstrap loader, the RoboJDE virtual machine and for 60K bytes of persistent storage for your Java application.
The flash memory has a limited life (minimum 10,000 writes according to ATmega128 specifications). Minimizing downloads to the flash memory by using RAM while developing, testing and debugging your Java applications will extend the life of your IntelliBrain.
