Now that, the Internet is common throughout the country. Why is the Internet popular with almost everyone in China? The main reasons are as follows:
On one hand, the Internet helps people make new friends. It enhances the opportunity to know about some strangers whom you maybe have no chance to communicate with in daily life. Making friends is easier by some Internet tools, such as QQ and MSN. You can communicate with people from different countries immediately.
On the other hand, the Internet tends to become a mass medium in modern society. It is called “the forth medium”, following the broadcast, TV, and newspaper. People are getting used to catching some important or interesting news online.
Another, the Internet is becoming an advanced tool for study and training. Many universities have provided the long-distanced education, which realizes just by Internet. In this way, more and more students and working people can get further study through Internet. They don’t have to take full time to enter the universities.
Therefore, in my opinion, the Internet will play a more important role in future.
More Free, More Busier
In the technology and information age, technology has made a great deal of contribution to the improvement of people’s life of all aspects. The most significant aspect is that working efficiency has risen greatly; as a result, people get more free time. But however, some one has pointed out that modern technology makes people busier than before.
In my opinion, there are several reasons that will well illustrate the effect. On one hand, people are facing more pressure in the modern society. What comes along with modern technology is the fierce competition as well in business. Every enterprise is trying its best to catch advanced technology to go forward the competitors. Therefore, the employees are required higher abilities.
On the other hand, although people have two day-off a week, they usually can not relax themselves on weekend. If you desire to keep up with the modern technology, you must learn new knowledge. Consequently, taking training on spare time is popular with white collars.
Another, while the technology makes communication and transportation more conveniently, the pace of work as well as life also speeds up. Whereas, modern people seem to feel more and more busy.
From the reasons above, it is concluded that modern technology makes great effects on modern people. Furthermore, people should make a balance between work and daily life.
