In the recent years, a new word---“infortainment” has emerged. It is a blending word of “information” and “entertainment”. “infortainment” is a product of the trend of news amusement orientation. According to some surveys, the audiences complain that there are too much rubbish news. They think that the news media concern too much on the trifles, but ignore the real meaningful matters. According to a research(1998) done by America Journalists Association and Medi Ⅱ News Service on new York times, Washington post, USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, the percentage of hard news has dropped from 60% to 30%, while the percentage of soft news about living standard and peculiar and absurd things has increased from 8% to 25%.
