There are several ways to improve out english writing skills, such as keeping a diary, learning any good writing by hard and doing a lot of reading etc. among these i prefer keeping a diary. compared with other forms of writing, keeping a diary is easy and takes less time. in addtion, it can help us form the habit of thinking in english. if we can keep this practice, we will gradually learn how to express ourselves in english. what's more, keeping a diary can be like talking with one of your close friends, sharing your happiness or sadness. in a simple summary/line/sentence, keeping a diary is a good way of improving your written english.

* The original sentence is OK. But I prefer a more structured sentence, particularly as student homework.

In a simple word, keeping a diary is a good way of improving (our) written English.
* This makes the paragraph consistent from the beginning to the end.
