塔罗测试:他是对的人吗:<<魔戒>>

前 传：《霍比特人》Hobbits
三部曲：《魔戒重现》（又译《护戒同盟》）Fellowship of the Ring

《王者归来》The Return of the King

这四本是市面上最流行的魔戒、亦即指环王的正传，四本的情节都是环环相扣的。另外，作者托尔金还为自己的创造的世界写了很多起源啊、诸王传记啊、战争史甚至语言阐释之类的资料性作品，很难说是小说了，其中有一本现在在国内能买到，即《精灵宝钻》silmarillion，看了这个对理解托尔金一手创造出来的这个宏大的神话世界就会有深入的了解了，但是如果你不是对魔戒有相当程度的狂热，建议还是不要看这本书，因为会让你觉得有种读学术著作般的枯燥。

《精灵宝钻》托尔金终其一生都没完全写完，现行的版本是他儿子从他的手稿中整理出来的较为完整的版本，他的儿子还整理出版了《未完的故事》Unfinished Tales, 和另外十一本《中土世界的历史》，这十二本国内暂时还买不到，台湾那边似乎有朱学恒翻译的版本。

对于魔戒系列的书，建议都买朱学恒翻译的版本，国内有的是译林出版社的译本，翻译得比较呆板滞胀，种族名字也弄得很混乱，尤其是兽族。朱学恒的是公认最好的。

魔戒续集是不存在的,有也是别的三脚猫的胡乱续写,反正托尔金本人绝对没写,实际上魔戒战争基本就是中土世界最后一个有详细记载的阶段〔托尔金曾尝试写魔戒的续篇The New Shadow,不过最后放弃了,这篇的草稿收录在History of Middle Earth第12卷当中〕

书目A部分是与魔戒联系紧密的小说类作品,有很多种发行方式,且称为《霍比特人》,《护戒使者》,《双塔》,《国王归来》,《精灵宝钻》

所谓前传并不完全成立,相对《霍比特人》,托尔金本人认为《精灵宝钻》与《魔戒》三部曲的联系更深,《霍比特人》发生在魔戒故事之前约80年,说的是毕尔博如何找到至尊魔戒以及如何与灰袍巫师甘道夫一起历险的故事,《精灵宝钻》则相当于魔戒故事所处的中土世界的背景总纲,从开天辟地一口气写到魔戒战争的完结,主要笔力集中在古代的精灵与人类对抗邪恶和抗击命运的故事上

另外,中土世界的历史也就是History of Middle Earth系列一共12本,目前没有中文译本,还有也就是不要迷信朱学恒的翻译,他只翻译了霍比特人和魔戒三部曲,台湾版本的《精灵宝钻》是邓嘉宛翻译的,朱学恒翻译的版本也有很多错漏,但相对于渣一般的译林版好太多了
