We have just received a notification from the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) dated March 3, 2006, indicating that an inconsistency has been found between the claims as filed in Chinese with the SIPO and those as published by the International Bureau: a set of 12 claims was filed with the SIPO; while totally 13 claims were published.
Therefore, could you please, firstly, provide us with an English translation of the total 13 claims as published in French by the International Bureau so that we can file a response by submitting the omitted claim by the due date of May 8, 2006. In case you have any difficulties in providing the said English translation, we will use the published French document instead.
Secondly, please be informed that the document as filed was translated from the English translation attached to your email of January 19, 2006. We presume accordingly that you would like these amended 12 claims to be served as the basis for the examination of this application. Please confirm if we are correct. Kindly note that, unless receiving your instructions to the contrary, we will file these amendments after it enters into the substantive examination procedure.
