答案中有being 和when they are 我觉得都正确啊，答案是后一个，这里把except做连词讲，那我做介词不可以么？后面跟ing形式
第2课，关于whatever连接代词的：
the vicar asked Bill __doing in the church tower
a. what was he b.what he was c.what he is d.whatever was he
我选的是b可给的答案是d，怎么是疑问句语序呢？谢谢

1.没有except doing的用法 都是except to do 或许应该是except their being conered
2.你答案对错了吧 原文是"whatever are you doing..."
现在变成陈述句 应该是B
