“What’s up”是来自美国的旧金山的摇滚乐团4 Non Blondes的一首成名曲，歌曲描述了25岁年轻人的心态。4 Non Blondes的歌风格很有特色，主唱Linda Perry嗓音粗犷、高亢，“磁性”十足，歌声与乐队伴奏浑然溶为一体。“What’s up”收录在4 Non Blondes的成名专辑《Bigger, Better, Faster, More！》之中，实际上这张专辑只有“What’s up”一首歌曲是最成功的，至今也未见乐队再出过其它唱片。4 Non Blondes是典型的凭借一首歌而且只有一首歌走红的乐队。

What’s up 中主唱高亢奔放的嗓音和天马行空的演绎，几乎让一切翻唱都显得幼稚可笑。这首歌比较完美地体现了Linda峰回路转的嗓音，如果说摇滚是蕴涵激情的音乐，那Linda的嗓音就应该是能呼唤出激情的魔音宝盒。

PS:偶一直想了解一下“What’s up”的意思，就去网上翻了一下，原来“What’s up?“和“How are you doing?“、“How’s it going?“以及“What’s new?“……，都是美国人常说的寒暄语，一般认为是从黑人语言中而来，是很常用的打招呼方式。
“What’s up?“就是问对方近来如何，有点像中文里的“最近怎样”，通常没什么事就会回答“Not much“或者“Nothing“。
