我们可以从很多方面去研究人与自然的关系，其中比较直观的是建筑。
We can study the relationship between man and nature from different approaches,an obvious one of which is that of architecture.
因为建筑是人与自然直接对话的一种语言。唐诗有云： “绿水人家绕”，人们逐水而居、傍水而聚的习性成就了当今的城市。
Architecture is a language through which man communicates directly with nature.A poem in Tang Dynasty says: houses should be bulit along riversides. It is this human nature of living beside and gathering around waters that lies a solid base for the development of today's cities.
我们希望能在这里重现水乡的情调，境界和气质。
What we want to do here is to redisplay the delights,ideals and qualities of a land with rivers and lakes.
中国特色的水乡应该是一个朴素、清雅的环境，建筑、风俗、生活与水息息相关。
And this land should be one with elegance as well as simplicity,whose architecture,customs and life are all closely related to water.
